Endre BERETKA, Ph.D.
Endre began his finance role in London in 1995, as the firm’s credit controller and later as a junior accountant. His career progressed up to CFO/CEO; working in Western and in Eastern European countries and in diverse industries applying US and European GAAP’s. Endre’s expertise’s are in All-Round of Accounting and Finance. After more than 22 years of corporate practice, Endre decided to change his career to education. Presently, he is lecturing diverse topics, e.g. major and minor modules in Accounting and Finance, Statistics, Qualitative and Quantitative Research Techniques, Business Math, Mentoring, Supervising / Examining theses.
Endre holds B.A. (Hons) in Accounting & Finance from Thames Valley University (London, U.K.), M.Sc. in Finance & Investment from Brunel University (London, U.K.) and Ph.D. from Anglia Ruskin University (Cambridge, U.K). Endre’s research interest lies in corporate finance, specifically investigating Earnings Management irrespective of an industry. He has developed a new testing approach, the Distribution of Ratios Method. Endre is keen to make financial reporting more transparent.
