Prof. Anupama Goel

Dr. Anupama Goel, Professor of law in National Law University, Delhi since 2012. She started her teaching career from the Department of Laws, Panjab University, Chandigarh in the year 1994 and received her Doctoral degree in Law in 2003, for her dissertation titled “Social Justice and its Implementation with Special Reference to the State of Punjab,” an elaborate theoretical as well as empirical study, analyzing the impact of economic liberation on vulnerable sections of society. Since 2012, she is in National Law University at Delhi. She specializes in Constitutional Law, International Law, Human Rights, Tort Law and Consumer Law and has taught various subjects to undergraduate as well as post graduate students including Ph.D. students. She has also published various papers on different areas of law in prestigious national and international journals. She has been invited for lectures on Constitutional Law by various institutions viz. Bureau of Parliamentary Studies and Training, Lok Sabha Secretariat, Parliament of India, New Delhi, Institute of Constitutional and Parliamentary Studies, New Delhi, Indian Law Institute, New Delhi, Shobhit University, Meerut etc. She has organized many workshops and conferences including one on Legal Literacy in collaboration with National Commission for Women, Delhi, for Young Advocates On Constitutional Law Practice And Human Rights Advocacy in collaboration with IBA-CLE Professional Development Training at NLU, Delhi etc.

At NLU Delhi, she has been the founder member and Research Director of the Centre for Comparative Studies in Personal Laws. She is also the coordinator for UGC-E-Pathshala Programme and MOOCs Programme for Advanced Constitutional Law. She is presently the Chairperson of Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) constituted under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 at NLU. Moreover, she has been a member of governing council at various colleges affiliated to Delhi University. She has also been the legal member of the erstwhile Medical Council of India and has been instrumental in drafting the guidelines for medical professionals in India. been Member of Academic and Executive Council of National Law University, Delhi. Presently also a member of Centre for Post Graduate Legal Studies, Academics and Administrative Committee and Library Committee at National Law University, Delhi.
